Our Property
We feel our place is something special and magical. Our property sits high up on a vast amount of land near Luzianes - Gare, Alentejo, Portugal with spectacular views. We are in one of the most quiet and peaceful places in the area, with beautiful gardens and surrounded by nature. We are 100% solar powered and we have our own water, making us not only remote and beautiful, but eco- friendly as well.
A salt water swimming pool to cool you off during the hot summer months and juice bar with nutritional juices to boost your energy. We have beautiful gardens and walks on the land. As well as all of this, we have an outdoor BBQ for all to use.
We are 45 minutes to the coast and 25 minutes to Odemira. The coastline close to us is one of the most beautiful in the world, with much to explore and to see. We are 15 minutes drive to the breathtaking Santa Clara Lake.
Go for a long walk on our 1 hectares of land, exploring the hand made paths we have created with little surprises along the way, or chill out on Hammock Hill resting and reading underneath beautiful oak trees or gazing at the endless stars at night.
We offer one free yoga class upon booking of one week*, and additional classes if desired. We also offer private dining.** and we can arrange for pick up from Faro, Lisbon or the train station near to us. We are happy to tailor make your stay, with yoga and other activities, to provide you with a relaxing stay, which will make you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and revived.

Things to See & Do
There are many beautiful things to see and do here and surrounding our property:
Yoga
We offer group, private and semi private yoga classes at Martinheiras. We also offer Meditation & Pranayama classes. These classes are tailor made to help the individual into health and wellness. The main teaching methods are the Ashtanga Vinyasa system with attention towards alignment, which we believe anyone can do, and is taught in a way to empower you into self practice. We also teach classical hatha, resortative classes, yoga for kids and pre-natal yoga.
Yoga & Wellness Packages:
We offer several wellness, health and yoga packages for different durations of your stay and tailor made to suit you. Contact us, and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
Santa Clara Lake:
The Santa Clara lake is a beautiful spot. It is a 15 minute drive from us and truly a wonderful experience.
Beach:
Zambujeira and Odeceixe are the two beaches we recommend. Both are approx. 45 mins drive from us. This coastline is spectacular and a must see in Portugal. There are however, many beaches to explore. Do ask us and we will be happy to let you know.
Blackberry Picking & Jam Making:
Give yourself some time to rest as we take care of your kids and take them blackberry picking and jam making. This is a fun activity that keeps kids occupied and allows them to see nature's blessing turn into food they make. (This is applicable for mid to late August)
Shop:
Do all your shopping in Odemira or go here for a taste of true Portuguese cuisine. Odemira is a 25- 30 minute drive from us. In Odemira you will find an InterMarche. A little further there is an Aldi and Lidl. We are happy to give you directions.You can also just pop down to the bottom of our road to our neigbour Maria who sells fresh farm eggs and plenty of basic things you may need.
The village of Luzianes also sells some basic items but there are better smaller supermarkets in Santa Clara in the village a 15 minute drive from us. In Luzianes you can also find a local jam and condiment maker. They have wonderful products and we would be happy to direct you.
Satsang:
Our Master Mooji gives open Satsangs on Sundays. The time varies from season to season. For more information ask us and we will guide you or take you. You can also see www.mooji.org for more information. Mooji -Ji gives beautiful teachings on the Self and all are welcome.
Markets in the Alentejo:
There are many little village markets in Alentejo for food, clothing and regional products.
Winery:
In the Alentejo Region there are many vineyards to explore and see. Some require a little more driving, and some are closer in driving distances. We are happy to help you arrange these visits.

Feira de Alegria in S. Luis - 3rd Sunday every month
Sao Teotonio - 1st Monday
Odemira Market - Monday to Saturday in the morning selling fruit fish and meat.

Casa do Jardim - The Country House
Casa do Jardim - is a small house all of its own which can accommodate between 2-4 people (although there is room for a maximum of 5)*
Casa do Jardim has:
one double bed in the master bedroom
walk in wardrobe in the master bedroom
safe
one double sofa bed in the living room
one single loft bed with ladder
bathroom with toilet, shower and biday
kitchen with 4 gas hobs, fridge, equipment, coffee machine, toaster all cutlery and kitchen equipment
Living room with TV (only English News channels and some satelitte channels)
Private indoor dining for 4
Outdoor dining terrace for 4-6.
This house is perfect for couples or families.
Private terrace with sun umbrella and table.
Private garden.
At an additional price if your group is bigger there is another room a few feet away from Casa do Jardim. This is called Quarto do patio. It has it own ensuite bathroom (toilet and shower) double bed. This can be used as a separate room for larger groups or families.
